On a personal note..

Each piece of driftwood was personally collected from the beaches around Cornwall, normally having to be carried off the beaches from the farthest corners over rocky terrain, soft sandy terrain or just plain wet! I was often found wading through icy water in caves in my search. I tend to get carried away and ended up carrying an enormous weight of soaking wet wood, testing muscles I never knew I had!

So, I feel a very personal 'bond' to each and every piece of driftwood art I made using this most unusual and unique medium.
